Cub Scouts Pack 186 is located in Lake Orion, Michigan, and we serve the Village of Lake Orion, Orion Township, Clarkston and Oxford areas.  Our Charter Organization is St. Joseph Catholic Church and School, a wonderful community of kids, students, parents, teachers, and parish staff who support our mission to turn the boys and girls of today into well-rounded leaders of tomorrow.

Our Scouts come from different schools, towns, families and backgrounds, but we all share the same love of the outdoors, respect for nature and humankind, and a commitment to grow and serve in our communities and beyond.

Along with the Scout Oath and Scout Law, we believe in good old-fashioned values like honor, integrity, service above self, patriotism, and respect for others.

As an all-volunteer organization, we rely on the help and service of our wonderful parents and adult leaders.  Unlike sports or other extracurriculars, we ask that parents don't "sit on the sidelines", but take an active part in their kids' journey through Scouting.  Parents find that they truly enjoy these activities with their kids, and most pitch in to help out with events and overall Pack operations.  In fact, all of our Leaders joined as parents, and stepped up to put on the uniform!
